Below you can find a drop-down list for the available vacancies for the 7th edition of Queer Wave: The Cyprus LGBTQIA+ Film Festival.
We are seeking a proactive, highly organised, and adaptive Production Assistant to help bring Queer Wave: The Cyprus LGBTQIA+ Film Festival to life. This role bridges the gap between administrative preparation and heavy physical execution. You will handle everything from coordinating print production with suppliers to assisting our crew with on-the-ground physical setups and material transfers. If you are a problem-solver who loves to see how an independent festival functions from the inside out, this role is for you.
Crucially, this is a short-term, intensive project-based collaboration focused primarily on the vital operational preparation weeks leading up to the main event.
We are looking for a creative storyteller, digital native, and data-savvy individual to shape the online voice of Queer Wave: The Cyprus LGBTQIA+ Film Festival. You will be responsible for building anticipation before the festival, capturing live energy during our peak season, and managing social media accounts and paid ad campaigns to expand our reach.
Crucially, this is a year-round, part-time relationship beginning in July 2026. You will remain the main digital point of contact to cover special events, pop-up screenings, and community initiatives during the off-season.
Queer Wave: The Cyprus LGBTQIA+ Film Festival is looking for a visionary Spatial Designer to translate this year’s festival theme into an immersive physical reality. You will be responsible for shaping the physical landscape of our venues—from cosy, functional seating arrangements and atmospheric lighting to thematic props and interactive installations that invite community engagement.
This is a highly collaborative role; you will work closely with our Festival Director and Tech & Venue Coordinator to merge bold artistic expression with technical feasibility and safe-space design principles.
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of Queer Wave: The Cyprus LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, and we are looking for an empathetic, highly organised, and proactive Volunteer Coordinator to support them. You will manage the entire lifecycle of the volunteer programme: from launching the open call and onboarding selected candidates to managing complex labour schedules on the ground. You will ensure that vital festival operations (including ticketing, bar service, merchandise sales, physical marketing, and production support) are adequately supported by an energetic, well-supported, and enthusiastic team.
Queer Wave: The Cyprus LGBTQIA+ Film Festival is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Website Developer to execute a complete digital overhaul of our online home. We aren’t just looking for a seasonal update—we need a developer to audit our current platform, identify performance or structural weaknesses, and redesign a website that is visually captivating, highly efficient, and future-proof.
A core objective of this role is building a comprehensive, searchable historical database for all films screened at the festival since its inception. First and foremost, the final platform must be built with the team in mind, ensuring a user-friendly backend that allows non-technical staff to seamlessly manage content, updates, and scheduling for future activity.
